A Bit About Me

NEPA Pride Coalition is thrilled to announce Hollie Browning as Treasurer and newest member of our Board of Directors.

​

Hollie was born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania. A License Professional Counselor in Luzerne County and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Hollie is always stressing the importance of compassion, empathy, and understanding amongst people as well as a major support of all therapeutic services/resources.

Hollie began her journey obtaining a Masters in Community Counseling (Mental Health) from The University of Scranton and has worked in social services since 2012. Hollie's passion for the helping profession started when her father passed due to substance abuse in 2010.

Hollie has worked with many different populations of people ranging from those with traumatic histories to those with serious mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders. She also has done many presentations for local colleges and county organizations educating other professionals on counseling and mental health. Hollie continues to strive for equality and acceptance of all people. She is owner of Hollie Browning Counseling LLC, where she practices psychodynamic psychotherapy.

Hollie is welcoming this wonderful opportunity with NEPA Pride Coalition to better serve the LGBTQIA+ community with the appropriate resources and education.

 

Hollie resides in Bear Creek Twp., with her wife and two daughters.
