About NEPA Pride Coalition
NEPA Pride Coalition is a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation, dedicated to enhancing the lives of LGBTQIA+ individuals and families in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Currently, our efforts are focused on providing education and training within the community, particularly to licensed professionals and community service providers. We have provided education and training within the behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment space, to HR and business leaders, first responders, and educators. We understand that those within the LGBTQIA+ community are disproportionately impacted by substance use and mental health complications, and we aim to mitigate the barriers faced by this population when they seek treatment and/or other community resources.
Our Vision
Integrity, diversity, respect, empathy, community inclusion, and social justice; these values have stood at the center of the NEPA Pride Coalition mission since our founding in July 2022. We envision a system of community service providers, including employers and other community systems that are supportive and affirming of all LGBTQIA+ individuals and families in Northeastern Pennsylvania. We aim to open the regions first LGBTQIA+ community resource center, to be a beacon of light and hope for all those who live in our wonderful community.
